...I would choose anything but flying.
Given the chance to have a super power, I can see how most people might choose to fly. I would assume it gives you a sense of freedom, a sense of power and an over whelming urge to fly over traffic. I, however, see it a little differently. Yes, flying might be invigorating, free, and present its fair share of conveniences, but I work in a glass building. Do you know how many birds lose their life from flying into a glass building?
You might argue that humans are much smarter than birds, and we are, but have you ever felt the freedom wings can bring? Have you ever felt a strange sense of power and wanted to run with it? Have you ever ran too fast and fallen flat on your face?
I HAVE! Personally, I would choose not to fly. I know myself well enough to know that if I was given a gift that impossible, I would fly too fast. I would hit a window (probably at this dreadful place), and I would die gasping for air from the ground with my fellow winged creatures.
With that, I ask God not to give me wings until my journey on Earth is over and my life in heaven (where I assume will have no windows) begins.
